TriConnex Head Office

Environmental

Sustainability

We are working with residential developers in support of the net-zero goal.

Many of the services we offer have been updated with this in mind as utilities have a crucial role to play in the wider energy transition.

Our business is at the heart of the transition to a greater dependence on electricity powered heating and transport is an area of focus. We support developers as they strive to achieve their decarbonisation objectives, switching from fossil fuels as the primary source of heating and hot water to the use of heat pumps.  Similarly, we incorporate EV load requirements into our grid assessments and scheme designs.

As an organisation, we are conscious of our own environmental impact.  Our wider group, including TriConnex, has undertaken external ESG assessments, and actions have been taken to reduce our carbon footprint.  We monitor our energy consumption and waste levels, encourage our staff to act in a way that aligns to our sustainability aspirations, and we publish our Streamlined Energy and Carbon Report in our Annual Report and Accounts.

Ways of Working

Our new, custom built head office in Braintree, Essex brings our people, company and culture together. The environment and enhanced technology support the collaboration of our teams, whether they’re based in our Braintree, Bristol or Leicester offices. The new building is supporting our developing sustainability and ESG efforts, with various energy-saving systems, on-site electric vehicle charging, environmental allowances for local wildlife and more.

We hire talented people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and believe in supporting their working environment to suit their individual needs.
Through our flexible working policy, we have a range of options available including staggered start and finish times and flexible office and home working combinations.

Social

Health, Safety & Wellbeing

Health and safety is at the heart of everything we do. We hold and maintain an excellent health and safety record and continuously review and improve our processes wherever possible.

Since the creation of TriConnex, our leading safety culture is at the heart of everything we do, and our excellent track record is evidence of our relentless focus on compliance and continuous improvement.

We offer a range of wellbeing support tools from mental health first aiders and wellbeing champions to dedicated resource libraries and support helplines.

Our People

We know that our business is only as good as our people, so we develop and support our employees through ongoing training, professional development and academic programmes.

Our mentoring and engagement of staff comes from many places, including team meetings, knowledge share events and business updates.

Our Community

Giving back to the communities in which we operate is a key component of our Group culture, and we look to provide support to local charities and causes where possible.

Among many other activities, we have provided play equipment for a specialist school local to our Braintree head office, football kits and equipment for local teams, and both company and staff have made donations to food banks in the regions where we operate.

We also work with local schools and colleges in delivering career fairs and mock interviews to help those taking part when they search for employment in the future.

Our staff are encouraged to use their volunteering days each year, where we pay our staff to spend time in the community supporting local charities.

Supply Chain & Delivery

We manage our supply chain carefully to ensure we support a range of local suppliers and minimise transportation.

In delivering a multi-utility service and continuing to innovate, we provide efficient installations and waste management, avoiding the additional travel requirements when utilities are delivered through multiple organisations.

Governance

Risk Management

Regular risk reviews are undertaken that identify external, strategic and operational risks faced by the business.

Our Company policies are regularly reviewed and updated, internal audits are undertaken and key controls are thoroughly documented.

The Directors operate the business in line with recognised best practice corporate governance principles.

TriConnex sets itself high operational standards and is proud to have achieved accreditations that recognise this. We are a fully Lloyds accredited multi utility provider holding accreditations with NERS, GIRS, WIRS.

Our management systems are recognised through the ISO accreditations for Quality (ISO9001), Environment (ISO14001) and Health and Safety (ISO45001). We are also Gas Safe registered, and a CHAS accredited contractor.
