Environmental
Sustainability
We are working with residential developers in support of the net-zero goal.
Many of the services we offer have been updated with this in mind as utilities have a crucial role to play in the wider energy transition.
The regulatory transition to a greater dependence on electricity powered heating and transport is an area of focus. This may be in the form of our innovative EV charging solutions product or by helping developers comply with rapidly changing regulation and future-proof their developments by using our deep grid expertise and pragmatic asset partnerships.
From our extensive research and innovation and from working closely with government, technical and industry organisations, the knowledge and skills of our teams is constantly kept up-to-date, enabling us to respond rapidly to the changing energy framework within which we operate.

Our Community
Working with the community is part of our Group culture, ‘Building Bright Futures’ and both our Board and our people are always looking for ways to support local and national causes.
Most recently, we have provided play equipment for a special school local to our Braintree Head Office, football kits and equipment for local teams and staff donations to food banks. Also, as part of our 2021 10 Year celebrations, our staff walked 10 million steps resulting in a £10k donation to charity.
We also work with local schools and colleges in delivering career fairs and mock interviews to help those taking part when they search for employment in the future.
Our staff are encouraged to use their volunteering days each year where we pay our staff to spend time in the community supporting local charities.
Supply Chain and Delivery
We manage our supply chain carefully to ensure we support a range of local suppliers and minimise transportation.
In delivering a multi-utility service and continuing to innovate, we provide efficient installations and waste management, avoiding the additional travel requirements required when utilities are delivered through multiple organisations.
