Leadership Team

David Topping

Managing Director


David joined TriConnex as Managing Director in 2018, following 12 years with E.ON UK in senior positions, including Managing Director of their UK B2B energy business. He also led their UK power generation fleet consisting of Biomass, CHP and CCGT plant, the energy efficiency team and the pricing and commercial teams. He built considerable experience across a wide range of energy market segments. David also has experience within the retail and leisure sectors, having worked for WHSmith, Sainsbury’s and Whitbread. In addition, he is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant, has operated as a Non-Executive Director of the Energy Saving Trust and is currently a member of the Water Adoption Code panel.

Dawn Hillman

Finance Director


Dawn brings extensive experience within the business and wider Group. As TriConnex Finance Director, she oversees financial reporting, forecasting, budgets, project reviews and cash management to ensure effective financial management is in place for our business and projects. Dawn ensures that finance is integral to the wider business and oversees, supports and guides a wide variety of projects and process improvements. Dawn is also Company Secretary for the wider Nexus Infrastructure Group and a Trustee of our charity, the Nexus Community Trust.

Mick Hine

Operations Director


Mick has over 30 years’ experience in the utilities, construction and infrastructure sector and is a founding director of TriConnex. His focus is on managing operations and safely delivering our customer’s projects, ensuring connections are made on time through skilful and innovative solutions. As part of his role, he assumes leadership on all health and safety matters and leads the commercial and procurement teams. In addition, Mick has been central to the development of new product offerings by working with our customers to understand their delivery requirements on-site.

Simon Bower

Technical Director


Simon is a skilled Director with experience in Technical and Commercial disciplines in the utility and construction sectors. He has also held leadership positions in every customer-facing department within the business. As Technical Director, he is focused on delivering timely and accurate designs that are both compliant and meet our customer’s requirements, from concept to final connection. Simon is positive and solution-focused, which is also evident throughout his Technical team, who have a genuine drive to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

Chris Doré

Business Development Director


Chris is a business development professional with a depth of experience delivering innovative solutions in the heavily regulated utility and infrastructure sectors and is a founding director of TriConnex. As a Board level executive for the last 20 years, Chris has developed a practical knowledge of many products and services and built an extensive portfolio of contacts. Because of his passion for innovation and decades of experience, customers trust Chris to provide safe, commercially viable proposals that support their developing business goals. Chris contributes to industry and government working groups on a wide range of utility topics.
